Beginning 2023, all previous exhibitor numbers will be obsolete. Every person who plans to enter projects in the Open Exhibit Building must obtain a new exhibitor number by calling the Kenton County Extension Office at 859-356-3155 and requesting a new number. Numbers can also be obtained day of drop off, but obtaining the number ahead of time will streamline the entry process. If you enter projects using your old number, you will not receive premiums.

PC1 - Photo StoryBoard/Photojournalism-Photos must stand alone in telling a story. No less than 3 photos and no more than 6 photos
PC2 - US National Parks (Must include location on back of entry)

PC7 - Portrait (Posed or Candid)

PC9 - At the Zoo! (Must include what part of the Zoo is in the photo on back of entry)

PF1 - Digital Collage (No less than 5 pictures)

PF2 - Inanimate Structure Capturing a Face-like Image (eyes, nose, mouth etc.)

PF3 - Digital Illustration: Single heavily edited 8x10 image. EXAMPLE: cropping, sharpening/blurring, brightness/contrast, unique color changes, use of filters etc. (Must attach a 4x6 of the original image and a note card detailing the editing techniques used on the back)

PF4 - Monochrome (Any color other than black & white - Example: Sepia)
Rules

- Contest open to all amateur photographers (Any person who derives any income from any phase of photography is considered a professional and therefor not eligible to enter)

- Photos must have been taken by entrant from July 5, 2023 through July 5, 2024

- ONLY ONE ENTRY PER CATEGORY

- No photo of the same subject may be entered in two different categories.

- Photo entries must be mounted securely to a sturdy photo mat of the appropriate size Example: A 4x6 image cannot be in an 8x10 mat.

- Entries with any kind of glue used to secure the photo to the mat will not be accepted.

- Entries in glass will not be accepted.

- Entries with any kind of mounting on the back will not be accepted.

- The Kenton County Fair Association will make every reasonable effort to provide the protection of the entries, however they are not responsible for any damage or accident.

- Registration will require an exhibitor number. New exhibitors will need to register for an exhibitor number. If you have entered in previous years and did not enter last year (2023) you will need to obtain a new exhibitor number. If you obtained a new number in 2023 that is the exhibitor number you will use. To obtain more information, or to register for a new exhibitor number, call the fair office at (859) 356-3155.

- Entry Drop Off: Sunday before Fair week 1pm-3pm (building where the pageant is held across from office)

- Entry Pick Up: Sunday following Fair week 12pm-2pm (William Durr building where entries are displayed) Entrants must bring their tickets in order to receive their photos
