2009 Award Announcement-2009 BALL® Fresh Preserving AWARD FOR ADULT LEVEL

Jarden Home Brands who brings you BALL® and KERR® Fresh Preserving Products is proud to recognize today’s fresh preserving (canning) enthusiasts. First and Second Place awards will be given to those individuals judged as the best in designated recipe categories.
A panel of judges will select the two best entries submitted by an adult for Fruit, Vegetables, Pickle and Soft Spread categories. Entries must be preserved in BALL® or BALL® Collection Elite® Jars sealed with BALL® Lids and Bands or BALL® Collection Elite® Lids and Bands, or preserved in KERR® Jars sealed with KERR® Lids and Bands. RULES
1. Contest open to all amateur photographers. (Any person who derives any income from any phase of photography is considered a professional and not eligible in the amateur showing.)
2. Photos must have been taken by entrant from July 2008 through July 17, 2009.
3. Open to Kenton County residents only.
4. Only one photo entry per category.
5. No photo of same subject may be entered in two different categories.
6. Entries are to be displayed on sturdy mat board appropriate in size to photo. No entries will be accepted in frames or with glass.
7. Entries must be mounted securely to mat board. Rubber cement or dry mounting tissue is recommended. DO NOT use photo mounting corners.
8. Nature category may be divided into various sub-categories for judging at the discretion of Fair coordinators and judges: (i.e. nature/animal; nature/fish; etc.)
9. The Kenton County Fair Association will make every reasonable effort to provide for the protection of the exhibits; however, they are not responsible for damage and accidents.
10. Registration will be with a number assigned to each exhibitor. If you have participated at the Kenton County Fair in previous years, you will use the same number previously assigned. If you are a new exhibitor, you must obtain a number. To obtain information on your past number, or to register for a new exhibitor number, call the Kenton County Extension Office 1t 859-356-2304.
