Registration Begins at 8:00 p.m.

REQUIREMENTS

· All participants pay usual $8 gate fee to enter Fairgrounds

· Register between 8:00 and 8:30

· $5 Entry Fee

GETTING STARTED

· Boxes set up 30 ft apart center of hole to center of hole

· No teams, players advance individually

· Opponents start and play from same end

· Start with all bags (8) at one end

HOW TO PLAY

· Fair representative randomly determines player to go first

· Alternate throws between players until all bags are thrown

· All throws must be made from behind the foul line (front end of boxes)

· If a player breaks the foul line or throws out of turn, the player loses a turn

· The player that scores the most points in a round starts the throwing for the next round

· If the round is tied, the last player to win a round throws first

· Any bag that touches the ground during a throw should be removed from the board and not counted

POINTS

· 1 point for any bag thrown that is on the board but not touching the ground

· 3 points for any bag in the hole

· Any bag that touches the ground during the throw or while hanging from the board does not count

TALLYING THE SCORE

· For each throwing round, the player with the most points wins the round and subtracts the other player’s points from theirs

· The difference is added to the player’s score that won the round

· The first player to 21 wins and advances. The loser of the round is eliminated

PRIZES

· 75% of the entry fee money will go to the winner. Second place will receive the remaining 25% of the entry fee total.
